Market Newsletter for Saturday, August 24, 2019
If you haven’t yet stopped by the Clarkson Avenue Crumb Cake tent, you owe yourself a visit! Pick up a Classic or maybe a Salted Caramel Crumb Cake. For a quick pick-me-up, try a selection of mini Crumbkins. Clarkson only appears at the market once per month and, you’ll see; the family recipe, perfected in Brooklyn in the 1950s, deserves a try!

News flash from Wave Hill Breads: they will be selling fresh Mini Blueberry croissants this week! They tested a few last week and got great reviews from customers, so they’re coming fully stocked up this Saturday!
If you’ve talked to me at the market, you might know about my obsession with the summer squash offered by Growing Heart Farm. The Farm is part of Johnny’s Seeds’ Culinary Breeding Program, which brings together seed breeders, farmers, chefs, and consumers to make collective decisions about vegetable seed breeding. This yellow squash, called Tempest, has Culinary Quality as its top breeding priority. And that quality is evident in this squash casserole, which is so yummy!

Clipper Coffee, in their distinctive tuk-tuk truck, will return with the espresso drinks of your dreams. Kimchi Kooks will be sizzling up scallion pancakes, get one with a side of their popular kimchi. Also in the line up: luscious Penny Lick Ice Cream, Bambino Ravioli Pastificio, Freshly Made Juice and Bites, Wrights Orchards, and Found Herbal.
As ever, R & M Farms offers pastured meats and fresh eggs and R & R Produce will have tables groaning under the weight of their gorgeous produce.
Our musical guest is River Run, so come for the food, stay for the fun!
